Here are some home remedies for getting rid of fleas in carpet:
Vacuum cleaner is the first weapon to get rid of fleas. Properly vacuum the carpet. Throw the vacuum bag away, to remove fleas from your home.
Sprinkle lots of salt in the carpet. Leave it for at least one day. Remove it with the vacuum cleaner. Repeat it once a week.
3. Borax Powder
Put borax powder in your carpet. Leave it for the whole night. Vacuum, in the morning. It will remove the fleas.
4. Apple Cider Vinegar
Combine water and apple cider vinegar in 1:2 ratios. Fill it in a spray bottle. Sprinkle it on the carpet. It will lead them to jump off of the carpet.
5. Dawn Dish washing Liquid
Take water in a bucket and mix some drops of Dawn dish washing liquid in it. Immerse carpet in it. Leave for 2-3 hours. Then, rinse with water.
6. Citrus Spray
Cut a lemon into thin slices. Fill water in a container. Put lemon slices in it. Heat till it boils. Leave it overnight. Strain it in the morning. Fill the citrus solution in a spray bottle. Sprinkle on the carpet. After some hours, rinse the carpet to remove the stains.
7. Rosemary Leaves
Put some rosemary leaves in a container that is containing water. Boil, for ½ hour. Strain it. Sprinkle the liquid on the carpet. Don’t rinse. Allow it to dry in air.
